September has come and almost gone already- the end half of this year is flying by! We had a fun month and we're closing in on finishing the basement (post about that to come). Here's a quick recap of the fun things from this month.
Brookie's Reception
I only snagged a couple pictures from Brookie's reception at highland gardens, but it was pretty and fun to catch up with family and celebrate Brookie's marriage. And can we just say, holy cheesecake. I've never seen so much rich, awesome cake in one place.
BYU Football
My company was recently recognized by the Inc. 5000. We are in the top 500 fastest growing private companies in the US. As exciting as this is, for me it has meant taking gobs of calls and emails from a million businesses and agencies wanting us to advertise with them. One of those businesses is BYU sports marketing. As I was looking into opportunities there, they offered me four free tickets to the home opener versus Texas. David and I used two and had a fun time!
We felt very posh not sitting in the student section, with its backless benches.
The game was on 9-11 and our section of the stadium got to participate in a patriotic tribute to the day. We had cards taped to each seat with instructions on them. Here is a video of what it looked like. I think we were in the blue section of the "R" of "Never"
It even got a little chilly, even though it was a warmer day.
Midway Send-off
Sadly for us but awesome for them, Cody and Markie are moving because Cody got a sweet job in Baton Rouge. And they hosted their final cousin dinner in Midway at Markie's parents house.
We had fun hanging out, playing games and catching up with everyone.
It's fun to "grow up" with family members that are in same place as you. We're glad to have had fun with Cody and Markie for the last couple years and are excited for their new adventure.
