Camelback 2016

We had another fun, family-filled Memorial Weekend in Arizona! Before Scotty was born we decided we wanted to go to both our family reunions, even if vacationing with a baby might be difficult. But Scotty did beautifully and we're glad we went.

We stayed in St. George to split up our drive in case it was tough with Scotty and so we could check out Zion's National Park before going to AZ. Preston hitched a ride with us.

She slept basically the entire drive. The car seat is her kryptonite.
One of the first activities our family did was Pickle Ball on the tennis courts. Apparently it's the fastest growing sport in America. And it's easier than tennis.
Scotty snoozed a lot in her seat as we went around to different activities.
Gage and Preston were humbled three times by their formidable opponents, who they labeled, "the old people." My dad and Aunt Stephanie killed the boys 3 games in a row.
We enjoyed pool time with cousins and I couldn't help but anticipate next year when Scotty will be old enough to take a dip with mom and dad.
This year she slept by the pool for the most part.
Uncle Gage met Scotty for the first time by the pool.

I call this picture "daddy face." She loves checking out daddy and mommy.

More naps, just loving the newborn life on some towels.

It was fun to get one last group family shot before Preston left to Taiwan on his mission.

We have a tradition of taking pictures of new babies together at their first Camelback. This year we had a bumper crop! Brent and Julia adopted Isabella within the last year and she's 9 months, then Leslie had Eliza in February and Jamie had Rosie in March, I had Scotty in April, and Julie had Beckham at the end of April.
It all seemed to be going okay.
And then Scotty and Rosie decided they needed a little help from Eliza who was sitting in the middle to stay up. We were all cracking up at how quickly it devolved. Those baby faces are priceless. Isabel just makes me laugh.

We did a family potluck in one room and went to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes as a family another night.

Scotty was a little hungry and Dad's arm seemed like a viable option, haha. We loved seeing everyone and spending time hanging out with family. We're so blessed to get to do this every year and excited to keep spending time with family this summer.
