First Real Halloween

Thursday, November 01, 2018

Halloween 2017 was kind of a bust. We had just gotten our front room wood floor installed and stained/sealed and it was smelly. We sat and froze on the porch and I sent David waaaaay too far away to grab pizza because I read the Google map wrong. Scotty was too little to grasp the concept so she didn't trick or treat and went to bed on time.

2018 was our year. Scotty got to pick her costume, we trained by knocking on the coat closet door and saying "trick or treat", we pre-gamed with candy and talked it up. And Scotty LOVED it and asked if we could have Halloween again all the way until Christmas.

She went for 1 hour with mom and then 1 hour with dad. She avoided scary doors and got excited about all the other kids that were out. She didn't love dad talking too long with neighbors and she loved being squired about the neighborhood in the stroller with mom.

Russell mostly showed off his crab costume at David's work party and had dinner, helped pass out candy and went to bed on Halloween.

We're so excited to take these little people out next year and have more Halloween fun!!
